Wife stabs husband in stomach because of indomie noodles

Firstclass newsline learnt that a housewife in Enugu, the Enugu State
capital, Joy Umeh, on Tuesday, stabbed her husband for allegedly
refusing to give her money to buy indomie noodles for breakfast.
Firstclass newsline learnt that the suspect, who lives with her
husband at 13, Unubi Street, Achara Layout, Enugu, stabbed her
husband, Sunday Umeh, in the stomach.
Reports said the man pleaded with his wife to eat the available food
in the house but the woman declined.
The woman is already helping the police in their investigations while
the injured husband is now receiving treatment at the intensive care
unit of the Eastern Nigeria Medical Centre, Enugu.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ebere Amaraizu,
confirmed the incident.
According to him: "The Enugu State command of the Nigeria Police
Force, through its operatives of Uwani Division, has nabbed one Joy
Umeh of 13, Unubi Street, Achara layout axis of Uwani, Enugu, for
allegedly stabbing her husband, one Sunday Umeh, in the stomach over
an allegation of non-fulfilment of family financial responsibility for
some days.
Firstclass newsline learnt that following the incident that allegedly
occurred on August 25, the entire area was thrown into confusion as
sympathisers that gathered thought that the man was dead.
"The suspect is helping the police operatives in their investigations
while the injured husband is now receiving treatment at the intensive
care unit of the Eastern Nigeria Medical Centre, Enugu and is
recovering gradually," he stated.
