You had a chance to say No
You had a chance to challenge the result
You had a chance to set this whole nation on fire
But you looked back and saw the blood of millions that will be lost
and decided to walk away; took the bullet in place of innocent Nigerians.
I am still amazed that one day after the elections, no single life was
lost, offices opened as if nothing happened, there were no police or
soldiers anywhere.
The foreign media budgeted millions on how they will air Nigeria
burning and Nigeria riots and killings, international forecasters
predicted that the dividing of Nigeria was as sure as today, but you
disappointed them.
The whole world is at a shock. Can such a man come out of Africa?
A power thirsty continent where people prefer to die in office than
let another lead. But you were different.
You have set the standard. The whole world cannot but praise you, I
believe even heaven applauded your decision to toll the path of peace.
God bless GEJ, God bless the man of peace. You will forever be
remembered by Nigerians.
The history of democracy cannot be complete without mentioning your name.
I join the rest of the world to wish you and your family sound health
and prosperity..
