WAEC extends Nov/Dec registration to August 25
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the
extension of its November/December (Private) 2014 registration to August
25.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the Council’s Deputy Director (Public Affairs) Mr YD Yari on Monday.
According to Mr Yari, this was in response to appeals from candidates, parents, guardians and other stakeholders.
He however disclosed that no extra charges will be demanded during this
extension. Intending candidates, he said, would still be required to
pay the normal registration fee.
‘All intending candidates
should ensure that their entries are uploaded not later than 12.00
midnight on Monday, August 25, when the registration website will be
shut down,” he said.
It will be recalled that
WAEC had, only a week ago, released the result of its May/June, 2014,
Examination in which only 31.28% of the total candidates obtained
credits in five subjects including English and Mathematics.
