AGBAJE VOWS TO BE FOCUSED ON LAGOS GUBER RACE

New entrant into Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and governorship aspirant, Jimi Agbaje, has said he
would be focused and avoid distractions in his quest to emerge candidate of the party.

He stated this in the Surulere Local Government of the state on Thursday in continuation of his tour of the 57 local council areas’ chapters of the party.

Agbaje was welcomed by a tumultuous crowd amidst funfair.

Many of the supporters who wore vests with inscriptions such as, ‘Jaykay still Ok’ and ‘ Jaykay for Alausa’, said they have long been waiting for Agbaje’s indication to join the race in readiness for the governorship election.

Party members present said they have unanimously agreed to give Agbaje their full support during the primaries and the election proper.

Some supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) also present similarly vowed to give him all their support in order to move Lagos State to the next level.

Responding, Agbaje urged the party supporters to continue their mobilisation for the PDP, as the party that will effect much-needed change Lagosians have been yearning for.

He also promised to carry everyone, including party chieftains, members, youths and all other relevant stakeholders along in his plans in the days ahead.

“I want to commend you for your unflinching support over the years. As the build up to the elections begins in earnest, I want to enjoin you all to be committed and remain focus.

“Do not bother yourself about rumours flying around.

That is what I on my part have resolved to do,” he said.
