sects got hold of the egba settlement of Agatu Local Government of
Benue State and slaughtered mostly women and children.
Before the incident,the fulani gunmen have been causing and killing
people secretly,sometimes they will kill and bury their victims
without wasting time.
The representative of agatu in the state house of assembly has said
that 60 bodies have been removed from the incident site...He argued
that this heartless people usually come in through nasarawa and
slaughter his people without any fault...they are animalistic in
nature,they like killing people with no reason.
An escapee eye witness who spoke to Firstclass newsline said that the
number of people killed is close to 100,the killed people are mostly
women,children and the aged.He told firstclass newsline that almost
all the house in the agatu settlement were burnt to ashes...im very
lucky to still see this world..the eye witness concluded.
A report from the police give to firstclass newsline said that the
police command in the state has confirmed that an attack like that
took police but said it was only 33 people that were killed in the
incident..
