A 32year old man in court for stealing lover's N120,000 including lands

A 32-year-old man, Wasiu Kareem, was arraigned, on Friday, at an
Ikorodu Magistrates' Court in Lagos State for stealing N120,000
belonging to his lover.
The suspect, who resides at 4, Olowolagba Street, Ikorodu, was also
alleged to have burgled his lover's apartment
The prosecutor, Corporal Mary Ajiteru, told the court that Kareem
committed the offences on October 19 at his girlfriend's residence.
"It was learnt that the accused and one Kudirat Balogun had been
dating for some time and he was living in his lover's apartment.
Firstclass newsline learnt that they both had a misunderstanding and
the woman sent the accused out of her house. He came back to burgle
her apartment and stole N120,000.
"The case was reported to the police and he was arrested," Ajiteru said.
Ajiteru said the offences contravened sections 385(a) and 285 of the
Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused pleaded innocence of the offence leveled against him
However, the Magistrate, Mr O.O. Olatunji, granted him bail in the sum
of N100,000 with two sureties.
He said that the sureties must show evidence of tax payment to the
Lagos State government and must be living within the magisterial
jurisdiction.
Olatunji adjourned the case till November 26 for hearing.
