Firstclass newsline learnt that a 22-year-old daughter of a police
officer serving in Lagos State, Mary Atiake, has been remanded at the
Kirikiri Prison by an Ejigbo Chief Magistrates' Court for inflicting
injuries on the face of another woman, Sarah Ogunyemi, when she found
her in the home of her boyfriend, identified as Joe.
It was gathered that Atiake met Ogunyemi in her lover's house at Olowo
Close in Igando area of the state and a fight ensued between them,
resulting in her picking a razor blade and cutting Ogunyemi's face.
Firstclass newsline learnt that Joe had been having a relationship
with Atiake for over a year but along the line, he also started having
an affair with Ogunyemi.
Atiake decided to visit Joe early in the morning unannounced and met
Ogunyemi inside Joe's bedroom, wearing only a nightgown.
In anger, Atiake was said to have brought out the razor blade during
the fight and used it to inflict injuries on Ogunyemi's face.
The victim was said to have been taken to the Igando General Hospital
with blood all over her while the matter was reported at the Igando
Police Division, leading to the arrest of Atiake.
She will be in prison custody till July 29 when her case will be heard.
