Firstclass Newsline learnt the cost of prepaid electricity meter now
sells for 60,000,Firstclass Newsline learnt that the price of the
meter inflatad due to the recent devaluation of the naira by the
central bank of Nigeria

It was gathered that a single phase meter through our investigation
now sells for 39,000 while the 3 phase meter now sells for 60,000
unlike as before when the single and the 3 phase meter goes for 25,000
and 50,000 each.It simply means that the consumers who make use of a
single meter phase will hav to pay more for the devices than those
that make use of 3 phase meter..
Firstclass Newsline gathered that the increment of the prices of the
electricity meters occured as a result of the meters being imported
products going through the scale of dollars...
Power cap limited company managing director told our firstclass
newsline that as a result of Nigeria a foreign currency regulated
nation,the recent devaluation of the Naira will have negative effects
on imported products including the electricity prepaid meters..
