Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State has maintained that the Peoples Democratic Party and President Goodluck Jonathan remain the best option for Ndigbo in the forthcoming general elections.
Orji who made the remark at a PDP campaign rally at Central School Ubakala in Umuahia South council, and Ndoro Central School in Ikwuano local government area, called on “Ndigbo everywhere in the country to vote massively for Jonathan and PDP candidates.”
The governor said that Jonathan had done a lot for Ndigbo as well as other tribes in the country, and deserved a second term to complete his programmes.
Orji noted that despite distractions from insurgents in the Northern region, Jonathan had posted some remarkable achievements, assuring that whatever the President could not achieve in his first tenure will be accomplished if re-elected.

He also appealed to whoever he might have offended unknowingly in the course of his duty to forget and vote for the party.
The governor canvassed serious support for the Abia PDP governorship candidate, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, who he described as “equity governor.”
He expressed strong confidence that Ikpeazu would correct whatever mistakes he(Orji) might have made while in office.
In his remarks, Ikpeazu promised to sustain and build on the legacies of Governor Orji if voted into power.
He promised not to betray the confidence of the people if elected, hinting that agricultural revolution, education and youth empowerment will form the major focus of his administration.
