Report reckless drivers to us, LAGBUS tells Lagosians

THE LAGBUS Asset Management Limited, manager of the intra-city public mass transit buses in Lagos State, has advised residents of the state to report any of its drivers found driving recklessly.
It said this was the only way the public could assist the company in improving its services.
The LAGBUS Managing Director, Mr Babatunde Disu, said this in Lagos, while commending the state government for honouring two of the company’s drivers for exemplary compliance with safety rules.
He said, “Let the people of Lagos State never get tired of reporting incidents of reckless driving. That is how we can continuously improve. I am sure if people look at the way our captains have been driving in the last six months and compare it with what their experiences were a year ago, they would see the improvement. We will continuously improve”.
Disu said LAGBUS would do everything possible to reward excellent driving.
“We have two of our captains (drivers) being honoured by Governor Babatunde Fashola. One of them has been with us for about five years. Parts of the criteria we looked at included their attitude to work, the confidence we have had in them over time, and how they have managed their vehicles.
“We also considered whether they had been involved in any accident since they were employed.”
The two honoured LAGBUS drivers, Mustapha Musiliu and Okuromade Kamoru, said they were excited by the honour and the award would spur them to do better.
