The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, Kaduna state, Rev. Fr.
Joseph Bagobiri, has said that unless the federal government and its security apparatus took a decisive step to halt the evil of insurgency, the future of a united Nigeria was bleak as the country might be doomed.
He also declared that Christians in the northern part of the country were fast becoming endangered species as they were being killed by terrorists and their churches and property were being taken over or destroyed.
Bagobiri, who was the guest speaker at a special thanks-giving service and reception in honour of the former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC). Mr. Andrew Yakubu,
by the Atyap Traditional Council in Angwan Wakili, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna state, said the Boko Haram sect portended a serious danger to the corporate existence of Nigeria.
