GOVERNOR MIMIKO LAUNCHES ‘BELIEVE NIGERIA TRUST GOODLUCK’ CAMPAIGN
Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko has launched ‘Believe Nigeria Trust
Goodluck’ campaign to work for the re-election of President Goodluck
Jonathan in 2015.
Flagging off
the campaign on Thursday, Governor Mimiko said the vision of the
political group was born out of his commitment to the promotion of good
governance and visionary leadership.
The Ondo governor promised
to oversee the operation of the campaign group to ensure Jonathan’s
success in 2015 presidential election.
The ‘Believe Nigeria
Trust Goodluck’ campaign which has a robust online presence, promises to
be the first of its kind, as it plans to market President Jonathan’s
candidacy through symposiums,
workshops,
townhall meetings, as well as social media channels, instead of the regular political rallies.
The governor also distributed 25 iPads, 25 Samsung tablets and a number
of other ICT gadgets to online influentials who will serve as
facilitators of the campaign.
Also speaking at the inauguration
of ‘Believe Nigeria Trust Goodluck,’ the National Coordinator, Mr Idris
Usman, said although the group would leave no stone unturned in
marketing Jonathan to the Nigerian populace and the world, he had
impeccable records of achievements compared to his predecessors.
Usman, therefore, urged Nigerians to support the re-election campaign
of President Jonathan, to enable him consolidate on the gains he had
made in the agriculture sector, education, transport, aviation, economy
and other sectors.
