NIGERIA WILL WIN THE WORLD CUP IF I BECOME NFF PRESIDENT- SAYS ORJI UZOR KALU
Former Abia State Governor Orji Uzor Kalu has boasted that if he is made the president of the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) the Super Eagles will win the World Cup.
Kalu is renowned for his exploits in bringing Enyimba FC to prominence,helping out the club with the financial wherewithal to compete and win back to back CAF Champions League trophies in 2003 and 2004.
With the leadership of the NFF in turmoil and a new order likely to come on board at the next elections,Kalu has indicated his interest in contesting for the lucrative position.
“I am interested in becoming the next president of the NFF,” he told sl10.ng.
With the next elections scheduled to take place next month in August in Warri,Kalu said that he will contest if the atmosphere is good .
“I will run for the position if the atmosphere is good,” he said.
He further added that he wants to replicate his feat with Enyimba,albeit on a national level.
“I believe Nigeria can win the World Cup if I become the NFF president” Kalu boasted.
