Hamas rejects ceasefire with Israel before reaching a deal
Islamic Hamas movement rejects the Egyptian ceasefire initiative with
Israel, saying there will be no ceasefire before reaching an agreement, a
senior official said.
Hamas Spokesman in Gaza, Sami Zuhri, said in an emailed press statement on Tuesday.
“We reject any ceasefire before reaching a truce agreement.
“It never happened in any war to cease fire on the ground before reaching an agreement,’’ Sami stressed.
Zuhri said it had not received an official initiative from any side and
that Hamas refused to be disarmed, adding that they were still under
occupation and “resistance is the right of our people to defend
themselves
