B-O-M-B-S-H-E-L-L!!! The North Must Stop Bombing Nigeria & Blaming Jonathan. - Prof Wole Soyinka.

B-O-M-B-S-H-E-L-L!!! The North Must Stop Bombing Nigeria & Blaming Jonathan. - Prof Wole Soyinka.

''If the United states citizens decide to be bombing the USA everyday and ready to die, there is nothing Obama can do about it.

The only thing he can do is to urge citizens to report bad people. If citizens refuse to report evil people then there is nothing anyone can do.

Here in the USA in Chicago to be precise more than 10 people are killed everyday and that's the same thing. I am only worried that this is Abuja.

“There are people in power in certain parts of the country, leaders, who quite genuinely and authoritatively hate and cannot tolerate any religion outside their own,”

“When you combine that with the ambitions of a number of people who believe they are divinely endowed to rule the country and who… believe that their religion is above whatever else binds the entire nation together, and somehow the power appears to slip from their hands, then they resort to the most extreme measures.

“Youths who have been indoctrinated right from infancy can be used, and who have been used, again and again to create mayhem in the country”

“Those who have created this faceless army have lost control.”

Prof, you are hitting the nail at head, we all know the simple truth and that is what you just said. May your days be long.

  2. Prof Soyinka have always stood up when it counted most. His words are source of inspiration to discerning minds. While the religious & political leadership in the north are in denial about Boko haram, we know what role they are playing.

Prof you are absolutely right without the help of the masses mr president can't fish out the those heartless Boko haram. The northerners have to join and fight Boko Haram though we all know prominent powerful people are backing them up but my unanswered question is can't the law makers sue the northern leader for them to come and explain what's happening in their region?

I doubt if he wrote this. Prof has contact with the people in that region, he knows it's not their wish to be refugees in cameroun and Chad. Stop the promotion of hate among Nigerians and ask the DSS,Police, immigration and military to carry out their job professionally. Atleast the president has tenure but they remain in service longer than that. Profi insist is too intelligent to say something like this. I need a video link to believe

I'm sure you that asked for a video link and called someone stupid has heard Prof. Soyinka deny he never said what they said he said... Instead of telling your president and his government to face their work and stop shifting blames, you join oafs who manufacture stories and clone online media to spread falsehood.

What the prof said is absolutely correct even the Nigeriian army who are of the northern majority are backing the bokoharam up that is why it seems as if they can't defeat them

I think we should look at it from the fact that innocent people, Nigerians, are killed, daily..... irrespective of stupid agenda by the few.... somebody is in charge. That is the issue. The issue we must focus on... protection of Nigerians is paramount.

I really wonder if the Prof himself is making this comment when he fully knows that the President and only the President controls the security forces. Nobody in the affected area is permitted to hold any weapons even for self defense. Please we require better thinking than this, when the militancy reached its crescendo was it the South-Southerners that took charge and brought it to an end or the federal government?

  10. Thanks my brother..The then president of federal Republic of Nigeria " not president of the north provided a solution to a Nigerian problem which was of southern origin. .He was an Islam too..am a southerner & a christian too..I think prof is being a bit sentimental here..This a problem of federal Republic of Nigeria not a northern problem...Mr president is of the federal Republic not of the south..let him act like one..If prof knows these people let him tell us their names else let him stop these hypothesis. .more or less fallacies. .national issues like this should be tackled with facts not fictions & hypothesis..Our president is weak..people do the thinking for him all the time..He keeps quiet when he is suppose to talk. .folds his arms and legs when he is supposed to act cos he is working towards an end..I mean his tenth year bad a president! !! Please prof let's call a spade a spade..

From the description you gave yourself, u lied. That shows nothing good can come out of u your contribution. This is how u northerners have been hiding ur identity out of shame n cannot be truthful to urselves. If Nigerians are not truthful to themselves, Boko Haram will consume all, both their sponsors. IBB, Buhari n northern leaders should solve the BH consequences.

Prof. The truth is always bitter. Why the circumlocutious periphrastic search for United Nigeria? You have called a spade a spade. Those who have ears, let them hear. All Nigerians have a right to rule by aspiring for the highest office in their country. Otherwise Nigeria is not one! Play the music on Prof.

We appreciate God for some of you our elders who know the truth and are ready to say it. It may not be obvious or popular now but the truth will outlive any other insinuations. Nigeria belong to all of us Nigerians, no one is born to rule, opportunity that brings authority is not inherited but earned. The 2015 is the year that will place every individual to where he or she belongs. Enough is enough of the blind leading those who can see and reason. Prof. more grease to your elbow.

Prof u are right nd I support you to the end,wen militancy was getting out of hands it was the south south elders that went to speak with them before they agreed for amnesty.but wht has the northern elder done about it?nothing instead they are asking jonathan not to go for second term if he wants peace.thank God its themselfs they are attacking

No Govt. Can do magic except the people cooperate with it. The North is using BH to fight for political /economic Previlages they enjoyed previously unchallenged which they feel they are not getting as much again.

  15. I don't believe this blog. The language is not consistent with the WS we know. "Here in the USA in Chicago to be precise. ........" the use of words is too embarrassing to be associated with a Professor of literature and a Nobel laureate. These people are just so desperate.

    ReplyDelete
  16. WS will seem utterly myopic and disconnected to reality if these words are truly his, nobody in his right mind will knowingly allow any so-called Northern leader to perpetrate death and destruction knowingly at the expense of his own life or those of family members

I don't understand why the writer is being insulted. Whether he is Prof WS or not. The truth is bitter. I wonder why the Northerner are allowing the Boko Haram insurgents rule over the lives. In Mubi over 20 local governments have been captured and Sharia is being forced down the throat of the muslims. Cutting people's hands is that the best solution to an issue. The commandments of God says though shall not kill and a lot of people have been killed. Innocent lives are snuffed out for no reason. The President is Commander in Chief and he has a lot to do to curb this act of wickedness and barbarism. It is getting out of hand. Nigeria is not an Islamic State and people should be allowed to have freedom of worship. Have the Christians insisted and start killing Muslims to convert to Christians. Then why all this attitude. Please I am worried about our children and the ones unborn.

    You are right, Prof.
Even the northerners know this fact . The elites from the north care less about their people.
How many of them even live amongst their people. They are all in Abuja and Kaduna.
May the Lord forgive those who created all these mess and those who are in a position to do
but refuse to do anything towards solving the problem.

Prof. I thank you for letting this truth out, Nigerians deserve to know the truth about their country, not being sentimental about National issues, we all know that the North want power by any means, therefore are ready to do anything to get it even if it entails bombing and killing innocent Nigerians

I totally agree with prof on this why would so idiot hold others to ransom trying to declare supreme authority of the state and nothing is been done about I guess the leaders need to go back to drawn board and get the troops well trained and nip and tuck this in and put a total stop to this trash.

  25. I wonder why some people in this beloved country Nigeria can not standard by the truth. What prof said is truth. Can one renain of the person who said that he will make this government ungovernable? Some people want to get what they want at all cost. The person that killed one person and the one that killed one million is just the same. As long as they make people believe that they are innocent they don't care. What is that buharri forgot in aso rock he is disparitie to come back and take. All the ex-president and vise must not be allowed to come back because they didn't do Nigeria any good.

The northern leaders have welded politics with religion - boko haram is a back up plan with the sole aim to islamise Nigeria which IBB paid $91b in 1989 during the Abuja conference for. If you vote for anyone in APC you are fighting the same course with boko haram. Don't say we did not tell you; never use you thumb to bury our great nation. If you think this is a lie then you must be completely clueless of what is going on around you. Tell the north that sharia and Islam must be remove from our constitution then you will see more fight than boko haram. By constitution Nigeria is an Islamic state. They only need power and the south west to implement it; which is why election appear to of a great fight in osun, ekiti, oyo, ondo, ogun, lagos. Two days ago the town I served during my primary assignment was taken over and was renamed-this is islamization agenda! take it or leave it. Don't be ignorance, dancing around your brother who is in APC he will slaughter you when the time comes and that time ifs already here.

Whether dis write up is from WS or nt, I believe there's something truthful in it. However, irrespective of whoever is behind BH, d president, as d commander in chief of d Armed Forces, has d obligation to bring d sponsors of BH to book. If he fails to do dat, we have d right to accuse him of complicity due to his ineptitude and inaction!
